Our story

A long-standing Riversdale store.
still useful today.

Started by the Nieuwoudt family in the 1980s and run by Woutrien Eloff since 2004 - forty-odd years of school lists, office top-ups, gift browsing and quick document errands.

Nieu-Script began as a small Mitchell Street stationer in the 1980s, when the Nieuwoudt family opened the doors with a simple aim - to stock what Riversdale needed for school, work and everyday admin.

Later, MJ de Jager's section of the building was sold to Nieu-Script so the space could operate as one store. Today it continues to serve school, office, gifting, reading and everyday admin needs from Mitchell Street.

Same street, same counter, same welcome.

1980s

Nieu-Script is started

The Nieuwoudt family starts Nieu-Script and establishes the store's local roots in Riversdale.

2004

Woutrien Eloff takes over

Woutrien Eloff buys the Nieu-Script business and carries it forward as a trusted local store.

Later

The space becomes one store

MJ de Jager's section of the building is sold to Nieu-Script, bringing the space together as one store.

Today

Still practical, still local

Nieu-Script continues to serve families, schools, offices and everyday shoppers from Mitchell Street.
